Alex & Maria – Pregnancy

Pregnancy shoots, family shoots and with the wedding season starting, the last month has been busy for us. I’m excited to be blogging again after a few weeks away from it. Starting off today’s blog is Maria and Alex. We did their wedding last year and we were very excited to get a call from them telling us that they are expecting a little boy this summer. We are always honored to capture a couple’s wedding day, but to capture the moments of a growing family is beautiful.

Crystal & Shane Kamine – Disneyland

Disneyland is not only the happiest place on earth but it is also a place that we love to shoot. When we have a client that requests their shoot to be at Disneyland, the kid inside of us says, “Yes!” Crystal and Shane knew that Disneyland would be a great place as their backdrop for their pregnancy shots. We had a blast getting some funny shots in Toon Town, but the best shot of the night was when the sun was setting over Tom Sawyer’s Island. Crystal and Shane leaning in for a kiss holding out their daughter’s Disney hat. Can’t wait for little Sophie to come and enjoy Disneyland with us.

Jessenia & Carlos Engagement

We are days away from Carlos and Jessenia’s wedding. We are honored and excited to shoot their special day. With Santa Monica as their backdrop, the casual beauty of their engagement session was something they both wanted. I’m excited not only because I got to capture a beautiful couple, but that we have made good friends for years to come.

The start of the year has been filled with some amazing shoots that I’m excited to be posting on the blog. This Valentines Day we wanted to bring more people to our facebook fan page, so we placed out a contest to couples for a fun engagement shoot with us if they could bring the most fans to our fan page. After three weeks of voting we had a winner. Rodir & Giselle won our one on one photo shoot. Congratulations on your engagement and for being the winners of our Valentines Day contest. You were both so much fun to be around and I can’t wait to shoot with you and the family soon.

The Williams Family

It’s an honor to be able to take a couple’s engagement and wedding photos. It is the biggest compliment when they call you back to take their family or pregnancy pictures. Maria and Rob are expecting baby Marissa in the next few weeks. We were excited and happy to capture this moment for the Williams. Rain was in the forecast, but we got very lucky since we were able to shoot between the rain at the San Fernando Mission. I would love to post all the images from the shoot but here are a few of my favorite from the shoot.

Baby Giselle

A few months ago we took Isabel and Earl’s pregnancy shots. Their pregnancy shots came out great and I could not wait for baby Giselle to come. We wanted to get more sleeping shots of Giselle but she wanted to see everything that was going on and found it more fun to model for us then to sleep. The Rodriguez Family

As the year comes to an end I give you the last of the 2012 family photos. Elsy Martell De Rodriguez and her family met with us at the beautiful Santa Monica beach. For us, family photos are not about matching outfits or a holiday backdrop at the local mall, but it is about getting the family together for that extra special photo. Our studio is nature and the elements around us. Sometimes it’s at the beach, mountain, or a beautiful park with fall colors leaves where the family comes together and is having fun, that’s when we are there to capture the moment.

The Rose Family

I am so proud of our holiday photos this year. The Rose family was our first family we ever took photos of three years ago and have been fans of our photography from day one.

Last year, we took family photos at Disneyland under the fireworks and ran around the park. This year we wanted to add the twins of the family, Vegas and Lucky. The dogs were great and even at times would smile. They were so excited to be out and walking around.

Little Jessica was really cute and one of my favorite photos is when she tossed up leaves while Vegas and Lucky were looking at her like she was nuts. We love the images and are very happy with them.

Can’t wait for all the fun with the Rose family this next year. Enjoy.

The Silva Family

Family shoots are so much fun for us. We get to meet new people and hang out with kids. The Silva family know us through the Rose family, (their holiday photos go up tomorrow) and met us at Chatsworth Park North. The kids have places to climb, play and just be kids while the parents can relax.

The two older kids loved the camera but the baby took some time to warm up to us. There was one point where I put down my camera and he came over, gave me a hug and gave me a look that said, “please stop taking photos of me.” It was cute.
